Hell Rail
BUY NOW
Each of the players fancies himself an engineer of the HellRail, conducting the souls of sinners
to their torturous abodes in the great Inferno. But, only one of them will triumph and be spared
eternal atrocity. Why not enliven your own gathering? One could argue that HellRail is both a card
game and a board game. The cards contain sinners (loads), brimstone (fuel), and track, allowing
the cards to be played any of three ways. Each player has a wooden train marker which he uses
to mark his progress on the board. The cards form the track connecting the different levels of
hell to the front gate and each other. The player's train is formed of sinners which require
the expenditure of brimstone to move.
Freight Train
BUY NOW
In Freight Train, each player must run his own freight yard and put together the longest
freight trains possible. All players use the same main freight yard which always has cars
available, although not every type of car is always available. Players must switch cars from
the main freight yard directly to their trains or into their own freight yards.
The game lasts three days, but each day is comprised of a different number of turns. Late in
each day, the tension mounts as players try to insure their trains will be one of the two
longest. The locomotives are waiting to roll. Are you ready?
Union Pacific
BUY NOW
The Union Pacific is one of the largest railroad companies in America with rails connecting many
of the largest cities. To further enhance its range, it has arrangements with smaller companies to
use their rails. This allows the Union Pacific to serve even more cities. The map shows the ten
smaller companies with their starting cities and possible track sections they may build. Each track
section connects two cities and has spaces for one or more trains. The number of spaces indicates
how many companies may build track along the section. The players are shareholders of the railway
companies and fight for the stock majorities in the companies. They also develop the railway systems
by building track for the companies. By building track for the companies they have large holdings in,
the players attempt to earn large dividends and end the game as the richest player.
